The error message that appears in the JDownloader window in the status column of the download is ": No permissions to write to hard disk". I am trying to download from RapidGator using a premium account, using JDownloader 0.9.581. ![]() Large downloads outside of JDownloader work fine, in browser and ftp transfer, so it would not seem that there are any low level connection problems related to network hardware or the basic network services in Windows. I'm running Windows 8 (final preview beta), with firewall and windows defender services disabled, over a wired DSL network connection (router model Netgear DG834G). It seems this kind of problem has been encountered by others before, and I have tried some of the suggestions made, but to no avail, so far. I am encountering a frustrating problem of downloads running for a short while (just seconds often, but sometimes longer seemingly for some random period) before stopping.
